What Are Your Available Tutoring Hours & How Long Are The Tutoring Appointments?
My tutoring hours are from 8:00-10:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, and from 12:30-9:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. All tutoring sessions are 2 hours in length.
How Much Do You Charge?
The rate I charge depends on the number of students with whom I work. When working with 1 student, the rate is $40 per hour; with 2 students, $30 per hour per student; with 3 students, $25 per hour per student; with 4 students, $22.50 per hour per student; and with 5 students, $20 per hour per student. You decide whether you want to come alone or bring other students with you, and I will charge the applicable rate.
Where Do You Do The Tutoring?
The tutoring is done from my home in Austin. I'm about 6 miles north of the University of Texas and 7 miles south of ACC Northridge, near Mopac and Northland Drive/2222.
What Are The Tutoring Rules?
Please understand, I take my work seriously and expect those I work with to do the same.
PLEASE NOTE THESE RULES ARE NOT FLEXIBLE AND THEY ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED
Registration Policy
Please complete the brief information form/contractual agreement I send to you. Once I receive it, I can schedule the tutoring appointments with you.
Payment Policy
Please pay me in cash at the time I work with you and bring exact change, since I do not accept checks or credit cards.
Cancellation Policy
Please call me at (512) 547-1377 AND e-mail me at adamthetutor@yahoo.com with more than 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment for any reason. Both forms of notice are required in order to cancel. If you cancel an appointment with anything less than 24 hours notice, you are responsible for paying for the appointment.
Appointment Policy
Please keep the appointments you make. I limit the number of cancellations per semester to a maximum of 3 per student because repeated cancellations negatively impact my schedule and the schedules of other students in need of help. If you cancel appointments excessively, you are responsible for paying for the appointments.
The only exception is if you cancel all of your remaining appointments for some reason (e.g., dropping the class, withdrawing from school temporarily, coping with an unexpected emergency, etc.) In this case, I will charge you for only 1 tutoring session - an inconvenience charge for breaking repeated appointments.
Responsibility Policy
Please write down the date, time, and location of our appointment(s). (I will provide you with directions, if necessary.) If you miss an appointment for any reason, you are responsible for paying for the appointment. (I will, however, wait for up to 30 minutes just in case you are running late.)
What Are Your Qualifications?
I've been successfully tutoring business students for 13 years and have completed undergraduate and graduate business degrees (finance emphasis). I graduated with the highest possible honors from both my undergraduate and graduate business programs, and earned an "A" in every business course I teach. As a former adjunct faculty professor, and a current professional business tutor, I can provide you with references from former clients and academic peers (professors) upon request.
If you're interested in the tutoring, please contact me and I will send the required information form/contractual agreement to you. Please complete it and return it to me by e-mail. Then, call me at (512) 547-1377 and leave your complete name, phone number, and e-mail address. Please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime (24 hours a day).
FYI
Recently, I relocated to Austin from San Diego to accept a full-time position with the Federal Government, and I'm in the process of re-establishing my tutoring business here. I cater to business students at any grade level (university, junior college, and high school); have loads of experience helping both domestic and foreign students; and am ready, willing, and able to assist students throughout Austin and the surrounding communities. Most of my business is obtained through word-of-mouth, via students, professors, and administrators. So, I'd appreciate you spreading the word, and I hope to hear from you soon :)!!!
