1961 Chrysler 300G.Only 1280 of these cars were produced,only 337 are known to exist today.Of all of the 300-G's built only 200 were equipped with Factory Air Conditioning, this is one of the the original 200 and is in outstanding original condition.The interior styling appointments compliment, if not surpass, the beautiful jet inspired lines of the exterior. Full swing out bucket seats for the passenger and the driver that are contoured to fit the body and then upholstered in the finest of leather, making them as soft and comfortable as as a living room chair. But it dose not stop there, the same quality and custom fit of the front bucket seats is carried over to the rear bucket seats which share the same high level of contoured custom fit and finish.The four bucket seats are divided by a center instrument console traversing from the front to the rear, it's sides padded, covered in leather and top finished space age aluminum look. The front console appointments are; ash tray, power window controls and the easy to read tachometer, the rear portion of the console contains an ash tray, lighter and the rear window controls. The instrument cluster is considered to be one of the most unique and finest designs ever placed in an automobile, the instruments are contained in a dome like bubble, that are easy to read, especially at night when the lighting is used, it offers a smooth glare free soft, back lit illumination.The pushbutton transmission controls (typewriter shifter) for the automatic are located to the left of the of the dome and balanced by the heater and the fresh air & air conditioning controls to the right. The heart of the 300-G is its 375 horse power, 413 cubic inch ram induction engine which produces 485 foot pounds of torque.The twin four barrel carburetors are mounted to each side of twin aluminum intake tube manifold that extend all the way out to the fenders edges.
