Leading Austin Texas company looking to find job candidate to fill role as a senior systems engineer - Portable Audio. High pay with full benefits.

Responsible for contributing to the Marketing Requirements Document and developing the detailed Design Specifications for new low power mixed-signal data converter ICs for portable audio applications.

Duties include:

Customer visits to research system requirements
Define feature set and architecture, and document detailed specifications for complex IC designs involving digital audio converters and Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

Perform thorough competitive analysis and participate in industry conferences and forums to ensure device compatibility with adopted standards.

Write detailed specifications for IC designs and coordinate with customers and IC designers to ensure system requirements are accurately implemented.

BS / MS in Electrical Engineering and experience in architecting, specifying and designing low power, mixed signal components with an integrated circuit provider or product manufacturer for portable electronics such as Smart Phones, Portable Audio Players, PDAs, Personal Media Players, Digital Cameras or Camcorders.

Candidate must be able to consider all product requirements such as customers' requirements, digital/analog process technologies, packaging options, design/system constraints and trades-offs and propose viable solutions.

Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer interface skills, presentation skills, and the ability to communicate ideas and specifications to a technical audience.
